Position: General Production Working Location: Peoria, IL   Calihan Pork Processors, LLC an American Foods Group Company has opportunities for General Production at our Peoria, IL plant. You must have the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a dedication to quality.    Hours: Harvest (1st Shift)                   6:00 am - End of Shift (3:30 pm - 4:00 pm) Boning/Processing (1st Shift)    6:30 am - End of Shift (3:30 pm - 4:30 pm)   Wages: $18.00 per hour + Incentive   As General Production - Harvest, you will: - Perform a variety of specialized tasks in a warm, hot, humid or wet environment. - Properly use tools such as knives, hooks, or other specialized equipment. - Perform physical tasks which require upper body strength and constant repetitive movements. - Stand on hard surfaces the entire shift; use of stairs and personal protection equipment (PPE) is required in all areas of the facility. - Compliance with all food safety policies and regulations. - Adhere to all safety and housekeeping processes and procedures to ensure safety for our employees, customers and visitors. - Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. - Work and collaborate with a diverse work population. - NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive. As General Production - Boning/Processing you will: - Perform a variety of specialized tasks in a cold, wet, or damp environment. - Properly use hook, knife, saw, band saw or other equipment to perform specialized tasks, remove bones, trim, skin, separate, sort or cut standard or premium cuts of meat to specifications in preparation for further processing or packaging. - Perform physical tasks which require upper body strength and constant repetitive movements. - Stand on hard surfaces the entire shift; use of stairs and personal protection equipment (PPE) is required in all areas of the facility. - Compliance with all food safety policies and regulations. - Adhere to all safety and housekeeping processes and procedures to ensure safety for our employees, customers and visitors. - Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Position: Maintenance Technician Working Location: Peoria, IL   Calihan Pork Processors, an American Foods Group Company has an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician at our Peoria, IL plant.   As a Maintenance Technician you will: - Identify and locate parts/part numbers from machinery or equipment manuals or parts catalogs (e.g. overhead chains, rail switches, conveyors, saws, etc.). - Perform routine preventive maintenance (e.g. grease bearings, lubricate, check fluid levels, replace filters, etc.) to ensure that machines run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. - Assemble, install or repair plumbing (e.g. threading pipe), equipment or machinery to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair.  - Perform basic welding (e.g. primarily tig; and some stick). Ability to identify good and bad welds. - Identify and locate parts/part numbers from machinery or equipment manuals or parts catalogs (e.g. overhead chains, rail switches, conveyors, saws, etc.). - Perform basic forklift maintenance (change tires, replace bushings, etc.). - Perform basic hydraulics (e.g. change motors, make hoses, etc.). - Complete necessary paperwork (PM sheets, work orders, etc.) - Assist in performing maintenance on scale equipment (e.g. portable, floor, and matrix - hot/cold) in applicable area(s). - Maintain a clean work area. - Follow all Food Safety and BRC rules. - NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
